HIFU CLINIC Prostate Cancer Center is pleased to inform about the commencement of its cooperation with Professor Marcus Hohenfellner, a world renown urologist. Marcus Hohenfellner is a Professor of Urology and Head of the Department of Urology of the Heidelberg University Hospital, as well as a member or the German National Center for Tumor Disease (NCT) – one of the most important and influential organizations of this type in Europe. Our cooperation with Professor Hohenfellner will be centered around minimally invasive robotic surgery (DaVinci) – members of the HIFU CLINIC medical team will undergo training with Professor Markus Hohenfellner at the Department of Urology of the Heidelberg University Hospital.
Professor Markus Hohenfellner is also the organizer and mind behind „Semi-Live” – a urological conference designed to bring together urologist from all over the world. “Semi-Live” is characterized by an innovative formula of sharing knowledge pertaining to the field of surgical sciences. HIFU CLINIC’s medical team had the opportunity to participate in this year’s edition of the conference.
Professor Markus Hohenfellner is an author and co-author of many scientific publications and laureate of prizes presented by international urological associations including the European Thesis Award. He is also a member of international and German urological associations including the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), European Association of Urology (EAU), American Urological Association (AUA), European Intra-Renal Surgery Society.
Markus Hohenfellner has over 30 years of clinical experience. He worked at the Munich University Hospital, the California University Hospital, and at the Department of Urology of the Mansoura University in Egypt. In his work professor Hohenfellner is primarily involved in uro-oncology, he is a pioneer of interdisciplinary oncological surgery. The Urological Department of the Heidelberg University Hospital, led by Professor Hohenfellner, deals with the full spectrum of challenges in modern urological practice.
