Tomasz Borkowski, MD, PhD, is an urology specialist and performs da Vinci robotic assisted radical prostatectomies (RARP) and laparoscopic radical prostatectomies at HIFU CLINIC Prostate Cancer Center. Currently, he is also a deputy head of the Chair and the Clinic of the General, Oncology and Functional Urology Clinic, Clinical Hospital at Lindley street in Warsaw. As a member of the HIFU CLINIC Medical Team he cooperates with St. Elisabeth's Hospital in Warsaw, Poland.

Tomasz Borkowski, MD, PhD, obtained a diploma in medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw in 1996, and defended PhD dissertation in endourology in 2005. In 2006 he obtained specialisation in urology and a title of Fellow of the Board of Urology. During his specialisation course he spent one year in an academic center in France, where he gained experience in urological laparoscopy under direction of Professor Abbou. In 2004, Tomasz Borkowski, MD, PhD, did a 3 months internship at the Clinical Hospital in Bern (Switzerland), where he improved his technique of oncological urological surgeries. In 2011 he was nominated for academic exchange under a scientific cooperation programme of the European Association of Urology and America Urological Association, AUA/EAU Academic Exchange Program.
Tomasz Borkowski, MD, PhD, is very active in the scientific field, and is an author of numerous papers, conference reports, and textbook chapters. He is also a member of the Polish and European Societies of Science. In 2004–2005 he was a chairman of the Urology Professionals Section of the Polish Urological Association and 5 years ago he was elected into the Management Board of the Endourology and ESWL Section of the Polish Urological Association. Since 2014 he is also a member of the management board of the PTU Oncology Section, and also currenly withing the Section of Robotic Urology. For several years he has been active in the scientific committee of PTU conferences. He is also a reviewer for the European Association of Urology Conferences.
The main professional interests of Dr Borkowski include da Vinci robotic oncological urology and other minimally-invasive surgical techniques. For several years Dr Borkowski has participated in clinical studies on treatment of urinary bladder and prostate cancers.
