He is a graduate of the LFUK Medical University in Bratislava, where in 1998 he obtained a medical diploma. In 2005, he obtained the second degree European Specialization in urology. After graduation, he gained experience in various clinical hospitals, incl. Urology Clinic of the University Hospital F.D. Roosevelt, Le Mans Clinical Hospital in France, and CHU Creteille Hospital in Paris. In 2007-2008 he was the Chair of the urology section of the surgery and urology department at the CenterHospitalier Regional de Blois in France.
Doctor Schlegel specializes in:
- endoscopic surgeries in the treatment of urolithiasis, RIRS, URS, ESWL
- treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, including the use of laser techniques, green laser, HoLEP
- surgical treatment of varicose veins
- treatment of neoplastic diseases of the urinary system
Doctor Schlegel is involved in the surgical treatment of penile diseases, Peyroni's disease and erectile dysfunction in men. He has experience in operations with the DaVinci robot, as well as the implantation of hydraulic penile prosthesis.
In addition, he is competent in the field of surgical treatment of urinary incontinence in women and men and urological surgery in children (cryptorchid surgery, penile surgery)
